Barack Hussein Obama, Muslim?
Contrary to the widespread rumors, misconceptions and chain e-mails circulating during Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign, alleging or pertaining to the Barack Hussein Obama Muslim identity, Obama campaign aides worked tirelessly to put to rest the Barack Obama Muslim versus Barack Obama Christian argument once and for all.
Their prime objective was to answer the skeptics who repeatedly asked - "Is Barack Obama a Muslim?", or "What religion is Barack Obama?" Finally, the question - "Is Barack Obama Muslim?" or others concerning Barack Obama's religion, were answered with solid facts and the 'Muslim Obama' label painted by opponents and the skeptics were confined to the dustbins of history.
Several facts refute claims and allegations about the Barack Obama Muslim identity. For example, while in Indonesia, Barack Obama did not study in any radical madrassa as was alleged, but was enrolled in secular-oriented, Catholic schools instead. The Barack Obama Christian we know today was baptized at the Trinity United Church of Christ of Chicago in 1988 where he was a staunch and active member for over twenty years.
It was only during the presidential race when Obama resigned from Trinity United Church following the controversial remarks made by his long-time mentor and pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. As opposed to the rumors and allegations that the Barack Obama Christian (or alleged Barack Obama Muslim?) would never recite the 'Pledge of Allegiance', show respect to the national flag, or place his hand on the Bible, Obama proved them wrong, as he consistently does all of these at every given opportunity.
